Department of Prosthetic dental science is one of the four main departments that form the college of dentistry. Prosthodontics is the branch of dentistry pertaining to the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance, and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth or oral and maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible substitutes. The Prosthetic dental science department work alongside with other departments trying to achieve the college’s mission, vision and objectives which include provide high level of academic teaching and clinical training, provide high quality treatment to patients based on evidence-based dentistry, encourage scientific research and continuing education and supporting community services through oral health awareness campaigns and lectures. We hope that our collective efforts will contribute to the progress of the process of higher education development in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
