About the college
The College of Dentistry was established in Al-Kharj Governorate in 1428 AH, as it was affiliated with King Saud University and joined Al-Kharj University by a royal decree in 1430 AH requiring the transfer of the branch of King Saud University in Al-Kharj to Al-Kharj University, and the joining of all colleges in the governorates of Al-Kharj, Dilam, Wadi Al-Dawasir, Hotat Bani Tamim and Al-Aflaj ,Al hareeq and Al saleel to the university, and in the year 1432 AH, the royal approval was issued to change the name of the university to Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz University, and on the tenth of Jumada I of the year 1436 AH, the royal approval was issued to change the name of the university from King Salman University to Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University.
The college of Dentistry contains six classrooms and five laboratories for training students before practicing clinical work. It is equipped with the latest technology. Each laboratory can accommodate approximately fifty students in different specializations. Clinics are also equipped with seventy-seven clinics divided into forty-five clinics for students, twelve clinics for interns, and twenty clinics for members. The teaching staff examined approximately 6,400 male and female patients annually. The college also contains an infection control unit and a laboratory for Prosthesis.
